Custom of an Outside Sauna

The sauna was a part of our lives from our first memories as a child. It had been an outdoor sauna which was situated about 30 meters behind the home and about 10 meters from the sea we existed on. It absolutely was made out of Northern bright cedar and calculated 12 feet by 10 legs in size. It featured a conventional sauna stove which was manufactured in Bruce Crossing Michigan a little community in Top Peninsula. Our outdoor sauna also had a cold water spicket that has been used to fill the water ocean for making water, great downs and for rinsing the work down before you went back again to the house.
The ground of our outdoor sauna was also plank and was raised about a foot off the ground. Underneath was a pit full of rocks that could enable the  buitensauna   water to drain into the soil. We were lucky that we did not need the clay soil that a number of our neighbors had which will involve a unique drain to eliminate excess water.
The main reason for having a separate outdoor sauna was as a result of tradition but most importantly to lessen the fireplace hazard. More than one of our friend's sauna has burned down during the past 40 years. It's intriguing that people all used wood to heat our houses but apart from a chimney fire or two nothing of our buddies or neighbors homes burnt down. Some individuals have connected the over use of alcohol based drinks, still another sauna tradition, to the high number of sauna fires. Often times an outside sauna range is permitted to obtain hot in planning for the sauna and that's anything that individuals rarely permitted with house woodstove.
